Service Network Capacity

NEXT maintains a nationwide network of over 100 service centres and agents (schedule 2) lead by experienced technical and/or commercial managers. In addition we have developed excellent out sourcing relationships with a range of specialist repair facilities across New Zealand.   Customer service staff are carefully selected and trained to the highest standards.   Electronics and appliance technicians are formally qualified and registered in accordance with Electrical Workers Registration Board (EWRB) requirements.

All service centres are conveniently situated with adequate customer parking and clear signage.   Reception, workshop and storage areas are well designed with clear delineation and an appropriate standard of fixtures and fittings.    All sites are fully insured and operate 24 hour security monitoring.

The centres are equipped with telephone, facsimile, photocopier, computer and printer, with broadband internet and email facilities.   Customers can contact their nearest service centre by Free phone 0800 GO NEXT (0800 466 398). Field staff may be contacted at all times by mobile phone.

NEXT is the exclusive service provider for Philips consumer products.  Returns and refurbishment work is carried out at our modern well equipped premises at Stanway Place, Ellerslie, Auckland.

Logistics Support

NEXT operates a fleet of modern sign written service vehicles to provide pick up and delivery services to suppliers and clients.   This service is provided daily or by arrangement to major retail clients, generally on a complementary basis. NEXT drivers deal directly with retailer customer service staff to check documentation, ensure correct authorisation and accurately receipt and record product and accessory details. Hi top vans with a padded tie rail are generally available for large back projection televisions which need to be transported vertically. White ware service vehicles are fully equipped.

NEXT occasionally forwards work to other service centres (interbranch) in order to access specialist technical expertise or to maintain service turn around times (TaTs).   A variety of wagon type vehicles including Ford Escorts, Ford Mondeos, Toyota Camrys and Toyota Corollas are also used for field servicing.   Additional service personnel are available to assist with heavy lifting when required.   Standard service call response is within 24 hours. 

Technical competences

Technicians and Training

NEXT is committed to the employment of the best technicians in New Zealand.   The ability to repair the full range of consumer electronics and appliances to the highest manufacturers’ standards is a prerequisite for the success of the company.

NEXT has been able to attract and retain world class technicians through its highly acclaimed international recruitment programme. In the last financial year 22 technicians successfully obtained immigration approval and joined the company‘s nationwide network of service centres.   A further 30 technicians are under contract and are progressing through immigration.   Most of these technicians have been trained in the service departments of international manufacturers.

NEXT will repair all products in accordance with manufacturers’ standards and within the repair time specified in the service contract.   All exceptions are subject to formal authorisation in advance.

NEXT/MfR technicians are trained to service products with similar complexity and design as the Zinwell’ product line. They are fully trained to carry out service repair on wide range of electronics devices, including GSM/CDMA mobile phone devices, RF switching, transmit and receiver devices, logic control devices, as well as power switching devices.

NEXT has experience in the repair and servicing of digital decoders on behalf of Motorola/Sky TV. This experience is very appropriate for servicing of the Zinwell digital satellite decoder range.

Regular technical training is provided to technicians to ensure they are up to date with the latest soldering technique and familiar with the latest soldering rework equipment, (incl. uBGA IC rework).

NEXT will provide technical support, to its nationwide network, for the full range of Zinwell’s products. This support will be managed from the main workshop and head office at Ellerslie under the direction of our Technical Manager, Phil Beel.

Workmanship and Equipment

All technicians involved in this service contract will be qualified and registered in accordance with the Electrical Workers Registration Board (EWRB) standards.   Junior technicians and new immigrants working through the registration process are supervised by an appropriately qualified member of staff.

All service centres are fully equipped to repair consumer electronics and appliances. The NEXT Ellerslie, Auckland branch is fully resourced with benches, multiple sets of test equipment and tools required to handle the Zinwell product range. Specific equipment may purchased or provided by Zinwell on consignment.

Service manuals, operating and test procedures may be provided in hard copy or electronic format.   Technicians have access to computers with CD Rom and DVD drives together with ‘Jet stream’ broadband internet and email.

Warranty

All work carried out is covered by a ninety (90) day warranty from the date of invoice.   This warranty does not cover additional faults which may occur and which are unrelated to the original fault.
